A blog is a place where you can:

Expressing life
Sharing Views and opinions
Discussing / debating?
Sharing Media / Pictures
Personal Page
Like a Diary / journal / Log

There are a number of big blogging sites, for example –

WordPress
Pro – Big Community, easy to use, creative writing focus, continuing to expand
Cons – Too many options, Ads, Themes can be tricky, intimidating

Tumblr
Pro – Easy to use, Lots of creative themes, reblog, built in communities, customisable, feedback system, visual media key
Cons – cant back up, Very young community (immature), built for short posts, adverts

Blogger
pro – easy to use, lots of design tools, custom domain names
Cons – New interface confusing,

The New Blog

Out of necessity I find I have had to move the course blogs to a new home. So, from now on if youa re studying on L3 Cractive Media Production of FdA Foundation media, you will have a new central blog for all teh course work and other stuff I tend to post on the bogs!

All previous posts have been backed up and transferred. If you followed my recommendation at the start of the course, you will also need to transfer you Posterous blog to a new home – it is easy, with only media needing to be manually added to it’s new home.

So have a quick flick through & tell me what you think. There are still a few tweaks to do under the bonnet, but let me know if there is anything that needs fixing – or even changing completely!

The next job is to get some Showreels in place in the “about” page. So hopefully, this post will appear on all the linked social network sites, and I can just focus on getting a few students who are short on WBL to do some serious editing for me…

A blog is a web Log – A journal or diary. Basically, think out loud.

A Blog is an ideal place to reflect on your personal journey.

Or just paste stupid stuff you find online.

And a quick web site  – Why Reflect?
